The proposed direct link to DUKE highway will benefits the surrounding township such as Segambut, Jalan Ipoh and Mon't Kiara. The Kepong township residents & Bandar Manjalara folks will also able to shorten their travel time into the area. With the MRT infrastructure to be ready in the future, these places will be well-connected and possibly ease the car traffic congestion.
According to their website, the whole project will be carry out in multiple phases and expect to finish in the year of 2025.

According to The Star Online, “We are not surprised by this latest development as we had earlier written that MRT3 has been postponed, and not scrapped. “This is due to its strategic importance as a link between the first two MRT lines within the city centre,” said KAF-Seagroatt & Campbell Securities.
With this information, i have no doubt that in the future this mega city will turn into another replica of KLCC. Earlier before the government has halted the project, it is expected to be done in 2027 and then later on carrying forward to 2025. Of the total length, 32km would be underground with an estimated number of underground stations of about 19.
